What it is
QR Code Generator is a free in-browser QR code generator that turns any text or URL into a downloadable PNG. It is free, requires no signup, and works in any modern browser. Everything runs locally on your device — there is no server-side processing of the data you put into the tool.
Who it's for
It's for anyone who needs a quick QR code — a link for a poster or business card, a Wi-Fi join string, a calendar event — without uploading the contents to a remote generator. The tool is designed for quick one-off use: open the page, do the thing, close the tab.
How we keep it free
- Your tool inputs never leave your browser. The tool does not ask for, store, or transmit anything you type or paste.
- No ad network is live on this tool today. This tool does not currently load Google AdSense or any other ad network. The page keeps future monetization hooks out of view until a real approved ad implementation is ready to ship.
- Aggregate page analytics (Google Analytics 4). We collect anonymised page metrics (pages visited, approximate country, browser family). Consent Mode v2 is configured with all storage denied by default. See the privacy policy for retention periods and GDPR legal basis.
- Privacy-preserving infrastructure analytics via Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookieless, no fingerprinting.
Why we built it
Most tools of this kind are bloated with signups, paywalls, or third-party scripts that exfiltrate the data you paste in. This site is part of a small portfolio of utility sites run by ThinkStack Limited that try to do the opposite: one job, done well, in the browser, with the privacy story explicit and future monetization placeholders hidden until a real implementation exists.
